I'm doing it...I'm finally taking the plunge into Tot School with my almost 3 year old tot, Ella! She is so eager to learn and is soaking up everything like a sponge these days. We can't fit a traditional preschool into our family budget, and I'd love to be able to impart our Christian faith into both Ella and Natalie as they grow up, so I've decided this is a great way to do that for the time being!
I've been hesitant to do a formal 'preschool' type setup, mostly because I'm so afraid that I won't be good at it, won't be motivated, etc., but I think that the montessori-type setup that is modeled by the creator of Tot School would really suit Ella's learning style and wouldn't be super labor-intensive for me to manage. I'm a very scheduled person and like order (as does Sprout...gee, I wonder where she gets it?), but I have some difficulty planning ahead and executing sometimes, so this will be my biggest challenge.
I'll do my best to post our journey through Tot School on a weekly basis, for those of you interested in following along. We hope that you enjoy the journey as much as we do!
